iPhone accounts for 23 percent of business phones

According to the LA Times the iPhone now accounts for just under a quarter of all business smart phones with 23% of the market. This compares to BlackBerry’s 51% of the market. Business phones, in this report, are considered phones deployed by companies that are at least partially paid for by the company.

Notably, this 23% does not include people who own the iPhone as a personal device and use it as a business phone as well. Steve Jobs noted at Apple’s October financial call that iPhone sales passed BlackBerry sales by 2 million for the quarter with 14 million iPhone sales and 12 million BlackBerry sales.
