3D interface patents dug up by Macrumors
Apple has submitted a number of patents for a 3D desktop metaphor interface according to Macrumors. While many vendors have had their own designs (Microsoft, Sun - Project Looking Glass, etc), this is the first design patent for Apple that we can remember.
Snow Leopard, expected in early to mid 2009, isn't supposed to have major design changes.

What the hell....
Isn't it Windows I can seen on the left pane (1170/1171) ?
Looks like they're trying to fit round corners in a square hole.
If this is really coming to market soon then you can bet Steve Jobs is going to make sure the interface is something to behold.
Unless its makes people go "wow" he won't debut it. Hopefully, something really special is coming to MacWorld 2009.
