Flickr User shows off 3G iPhone?
Flickr User caandgiantsfan4life says he's running a 3G test iPhone. Looks like he might have one with an intresting "3G" font. Are you calling BS?

I actually think this looks real. It is identical to the gallery on the Apple Website. This is no joke!!
Here is the rest of the gallery.

Sock puppet alert!
what is sock puppet alert? i dont think these are fake if that is what you are saying
A sock puppet is an account controlled by another person to parrot praise/replicate their opinion to make themselves seem more credible.
Ultimately, these are the most pathetic fakes I've ever seen. They/you didn't even try to create something new or different.
There is no way to verify he's actually on 3G hardware. He could easily be running a pwned phone with 2.0 firmware on it that he then forced to display the 3G stuff. The 3G menu item itself was found a long time ago and was leaked just like these pictures show it.
completely agree.
lets see the actual iphone in his hand, not an image that looks like it was created on a computer, possibly using the iphone emulator of the SDK
This is so fake. Fake fake fake. What a lammie this dude is.
bahaha what bullisht. "Hey Look I have a 3G iPhone but I won't show any pictures of the phone itself, just screen caps! I'm also wearing a big red hat! Everyone look at me! Look at me! I need attention! I hate myself so I make up lies and post them on the internet. Why doesn't my mother love me!?"
Actually, this could be real. Because Apple's NDA or Disclosure Agreement with those in it's testing program do not allow any PHOTOS of the actual product until after its release. All of the photos we have seen to date were taken in private session at WWDC and any one tester would not want to legally challenge their own company. So, this person legally give us pictures anyway!!!
I THINK IT'S THE MOST REALISTIC SCREENSHOTS WE'VE HAD YET.
That was subsequently proved to be fake? Or just some clever coding thing using the SDK?
Well, it doesn't look like the device that I have in my hand. It looks similar though so may be an early iteration of the firmware.
- The Enable 3G looks right, including the G of the 3G
- There is a missing section before Data Roaming
- The Data Roaming descriptive text is different
- Other screen looks correct though
What else can you expect from a Giants fan 4 life? Does that mean he'll support the Giants all of his life or he's a pro-lifer who also like the Giants?
It's so simple to proclaim "fake, fake... this is so fake ..." blah blah blah.
It's one thing to call fake, quite another to say what it is specifically about the image that leads you to such a caterwaul.
Gain some credence and actually add to the discussion by iterating the objective reasons for your claim of 'fake'.... otherwise your comments are just so much meaningless noise.
'3G' font is incorrect. It is a bitmap/pixel font, whereas it should be Helvetica, I believe. Please update your fake screenshot with Helvetica.
How can anyone say this is fake when they don't have it themselves. If you are as clueless as the majority of you here are you can't just come to a random conclusion when you have no idea how Apple works. The 3G font may be wrong in your mind but when you look at the pictures on apple's website, you can't even seethe 3G symbol anyways because it is to small and blurry. So why don't all of you ignorant readers shut up before you get your hands on one yourself FOOL.
Well, if you really want to get into it, go to Apple's PR site and download the high resolution images for yourself: http://www.apple.com/pr/products/iphone/iphone.html
Yes... I can see the high resolution images from Apple's PR site have a different 3G icon, so yep... it's just someone with the SDK and a fake 3G icon.
