Their second studio album went double Platinum, they released third album, Plastic Beach, this year, and the fourth album’s on its way and recorded on an iPad. That’s right, Damon Albarn’s project band, Gorillaz will release a fourth album recorded on an iPad.

The new album’s set to ship before Christms 2010. Speaking to UK music paper, NME, Albarn said of the new album, “I’ve made it on an ipad – I hope I’ll be making the first record on an iPad.

“I fell in love with my iPad as soon as I got it, so I’ve made a completely different kind of record.

“It’s ironic, being the sort of technophobe and Luddite that I am.”

Seeing as this comes from a multi-million album-selling, Glastonbury performing world tour-hopping band like this, surely this tells us something about the iPad’s status as a creative tool.
