Apple's "iSlate" to be featured in upcoming episode of 24?

Every time it seems like the tablet hype can't get any nuttier, we get something like this:

Tasty Slate via MacNN

Apple's never been shy about its product placement.

That sounds like a confirmation of the name, since that guy would know the real name.

So, next quarter there will be a new entry on APPL's financials: income from Boobs breaking their NDA's...

This season of 24 is in the can. Maybe next season we'll see the magic tablet.

incorrect--while 24 has already begun airing this season, the last few episodes are still filming--they wrap mid-march

I'm not sure the season has finished shooting but even if it has they could insert it in a specially-shot short scene if apple is paying enough.

Well, this season is obviously not finished shooting if one of the show's regular directors tweeted about using it in episode 20.

Apple have ALWAYS been shy of product placement. They never give free Macs to movies or TV. All the Macs on TV and movies are bought and paid for. They just buy them because they are very photogenic.

I think it's already been shown, in episode 5 at 14:43 when Jack is in the car and receives his background data on his "PDA". Looks like about the right size to me though as always in 24 the GUI is custom.

24 has not used apple handheld devices because of this contract with Sprint (who does the advertising). If the new iSlate has 3G Connectivity with AT&T (as predicted by way to many people) then they couldn't feature it without Sprint growing quite annoyed. Notice how all the CTU phones are Sprint (They even stay true to the Blackberry with the Sprint Logo on it) and are never Verizon or AT&T... it would be nice, but I strongly doubt it...
