Little known fact: The inaugural issue’s cover story, “Google: The Search Party is over” has my fingerprints all over it.

Thanks guys!
It’s funny… on the story talking about how analysts think the iPhone “honeymoon” is over, all the commenters seem to agree that analysts are just spewing garbage, yet the story of Google’s demise gets nothing but praise. Where’s the discrepancy?
I don’t believe everyone is blindly cheering for Google’s demise, however there are many facts supports the similarity between Microsoft and Google now these days. I do respect Google as an innovative company many years ago, they have changed world with searches and google map. However lately it shows little vision and leadership just like Microsoft did years ago, other than few products, everything is a “me too” product – whatever Apple does, it wants a piece of the pie. It feels like the company is throwing random darts now, trying to see whichever would sticks instead of a clear vision. I know I am not being completely fair and I am sure there are lots of talented people working in Google, however this is how I feel. I meant with the wealth and talents it has, I am sure they can do a lot more for the human race and solve a lot of real world problems and making money in the process doing so, but instead they simply trying to generate revenue by copying what Apple or others does. It’s just so sad.
So, is this the latest trend in tech journalism? To pick the worlds most succesful tech companies and ask “Is XXXX Over?”
“Is Google Over?”, “Is Apple’s Honeymoon Over?”
These two companies have never been stronger and are kicking competitors butts left and right. So the answer to your question is “no”. Just no. Next question please?
