Wasn’t their Samsung Instinct hyped to be the most likely iPhone killer? I bought the Instinct – and it comes nowhere close to an iPhone killer. But this time, it’s running Android, so it could grab some market share against the iPad. I’d definately take a look at the tablet only if it has a scratch resistant glass multitouch screen, and priced atleast $100 cheaper than the iPad.

Yes it was, I also bought an Instinct. From then on I will never buy another samsung mobile product again..
      What a POS!

If it’s Apple owned, can’t Apple withdraw the production of these for the Galaxy?

Here is some more news, Samsung is using the same color scheme as the iPhone/iPad!

Flame if you will but when Apple came out with translucent colored plastic casings for the “eggshell” iMac, how long did it take for the PC movers and shakers to affix color plates to their beige boring boxes??? Not long! Monkey see, monkey do in this industry!

I’d rather go for the golden banan… er Apple, yeah that’s it, the Golden Apple!

I wonder if these devices say “Designed by Apple in California” on the back, because they really should.

    Samsung you suck!

Complex for Apple, since they had to do all the research & development. Simple for Samsung, because of using a copy machine.

    I heard this story before:

Asus is making a notebook PC device based on the same processor as used within the MacBook Pro — and this creature runs Windows 7.

Heck, if it all came down to the processor, there’d be no news at all. We’d all be running the cheapest OS on the best CPU, case closed.

As for style, heck, the RIM Storm looked a lot like the iPhone. But it sucked rocks and failed in the marketplace. So it isn’t about looks, and it isn’t about the CPU. It’s about the entire package.

And you’d better believe that the specifics of Apple’s A4 processor are unique to Apple – it seems likely that the Samsung will use a similar ARM-based Samsung-engineered CPU core, but it seems unlikely that it will have the same feature set as the A4.

Wow, these guys sure have creativity and originality.

This is exactly what happened when the iPhone came out. LG & Samsung blocked the phone from entering Korea so they could have enough time to develop their own iPhone killer for the local market. . If you are not aware, they are doing the same to the iPad which has a lot of my Korean friends up in arms. It will do ok with the local market and targeted towards cheaper audiences but i dounbt it’s an iPad killer..lol

I’d be embarrassed to produce something like this, even if it worked. It looks cheap to copy even down to the color scheme and icons. It says “Look at me.. I’m clueless for originality, but I’m cheap.”

  10. Galbar says:

Originality? Who cares. Apple uses its edge in design to handicapp its own products and sell them at an absurd premium. Apple does not care about you, it just cares about selling you the same device each year + 1 new functionality (which the decided not to give you originally). It is correct for a company to care only for the money, but it is not corrrect for customers to applaud them for ripping them off.

Monopolies are bad for consumers. If Samsung can make a tablet wich compares with Apples but, for example allows the user to increase memory by using usb devices or sd cards, that gives users the right to choose.

You can still buy an Ipad. Or not. But choice is always good.
    what`s wrong with that?

you people are morons. this is an android tablet. android tablets have been around longer than ipad.

  12. Rud says:

But unlike the Apple, it won't take secret photos and biometric readings of you and store them on corporate accounts. https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2010/08/steve-jobs-...
