    I like.

  2. macdaddy says:

i am liking of the cranberryness

  3. TschonDoe says:

looks a lot like the first ipod mini generation …

    like it

  4. macmanager says:

It looks like a color scheme SONY would release on its next BEAN SPROUT walk-man! Gross..not like the upbeat colorful Apple look at all! yucky!

  5. paulMASSACRE says:

I dont like the whole lighter colours =/
I actually liked the green of the current iPod nano range.

I also think they should bring the white back to the nano’s, because thats like the ‘Apple colour’ haha
    Would match my Macbook ;-)

  6. Spoon says:

These colors don’t look right at all. To me Apple picks colors that keep them with the “in” crowd, c’mon we all know Apple is 90% godly computer and 110% fashion.

These colors remind me of something you see on old peoples clothes and bedsheets! And half of the time, they’re WEARING their bedsheets! Okay, maybe a little OT, but point is the colors don’t look like anything I would want to sport on me. I pray that they keep the old nano colors. One more reason for me to snatch up one of the current nanos when the new ones come out. Hooray price reduction!

Sidenote: I’m not judging the Elderly :P

    • coffeecty says:

Actually, if you had ANY eye on the consumer fashion industry, you’d know that these colours are mainstays at places like The Gap, American Eagle, H&M, etc. The old colours of the nano’s were fun, and they never really “matched” your outfit. These will be much more fitting with the ‘in’ crowd.

      • macmanager says:

i think he means apple wants their products to stand out, like the ipods in their adverts, otherwise you wouldnt notice them and people wouldn’t buy. i for one think these colours are fake and so are the new nano designs.

  7. macmanager says:

Screw colors, where’s my Halo 3 iPod?

  8. macmanager says:

None of us have seen the colours on iPods and already we’re commenting. None of us can confirm the colours and we’re already commenting. None of us have our monitors calibrated and know what this would look like in real life…… AND WE’RE STILL COMMENTING.

  9. 9to5mac says:

When are you going to believe us? And all of you people dissing the design are going to fall all over yourselves loving the exact same design in a few weeks.

    Bet.

  10. asmartkid says:

Is there any possibility that the reduced size ipods you’ve seen could in reality be the replacement of the current video ipods (30 & 80GB) instead of the new ipod nano?
BTW I like the new colors a lot :)

  11. paulMASSACRE says:

As to the comment by ‘macmanager’… you’re the one reading a rumours website and claiming that people havent seen them. Note the key word in my previous sentence RUMOURS. And just in case you pick me up on my spelling of rumours, thats how we spell it in the UK ;-].
So what we’re commenting on is speculation. 9to5mac have previously had very accurate speculation in their defence… but its still just speculation; which we are more than entitled to voice our opinion on.
    So… blah =)

Still not sure on the colours =/ I’m getting used to the possible form factor, its not too bad… still waiting on a hopeful touchscreen full iPod though.

  12. MacFan says:

UGLY! These are corporate america cubicle dull colors. These are NOT going to be the next series of colors. No way, no how.

  13. macmanager says:

…but will come with a variety of colored markers so you can make yours look like it fell out a=omitted= purse.

  14. Kevin Sexton says:

I was REALLY hoping they’d bring the orange to the nano.

I just put my orange shuffle through the washing machine, and I am waiting for it to dry out and wondering if it doesn’t survive, should I get another shuffle or go to the nano.

If I have to replace and I choose to upgrade, I’d better do it before these are my only colour choices. I’ll take the current nano blue or green over any of these.

Although in truth I think I’d rather have a shuffle at the gym than anything bigger. Any word on colour changes on the shuffle front?

  15. paulMASSACRE says:

I have a feeling your ‘excellent source’ is wrong. Who wants a portable music player controlled by voice aswell as touch? So people are going to sit on a bus and just talk to themselves?

    Probably not.

    • Jason says:

agreed. Could you imagine a guy in the bus mumbling: “Disturbed. Down With The Sickness.”

Even better, I wouldn’t want some people to hear me: “Imogen Heap. Headlock.”

      • paulMASSACRE says:

        Lmao exactly..

I really hope the speech recognition idea was a joke; plus, just imagine what a field day thieves would have!
Just find the nearest person talking about songs to themselves and you’ve got yourself a free iPod ;-]

  16. Spoon says:

I know I previously stated I don’t agree with what Apple is doing (should the rumors be true) but there have been times when something sounds like bull-jive on paper, but looks better in uh…real life. (Am I looking for the word reality?) Anywho, if someone could post a few more actual size mock-ups with the color swatches applied, I’d greatly appreciate it. Maybe myself and others without visualization skills just need a few pictures with the colors on top to see the good in Apple’s plan.

For some reason the current mock-up just throws me for an infinite loop and doesn’t look right. The art skills are fine, I just can’t imagine holding one in my hand yet.

  17. paulMASSACRE says:

    Agreed with Spoon

A few mock-ups with the alleged form factor in the alleged colours would be good.

I was also wondering about the material that will be used? Any news on that? I think that will make a huge difference on the quality of the new Nano.

I did hear that it was going to be more like the Macbook, but I dont actually know where I’ve got that from!

  18. macmanager says:

The new exact same colours you see up there are going to come out and the people who are “hating” on the colours will automatically love them. Sheep.

  19. James says:

Having recently seen the new Nano’s I can tell you these colors will not be released in Sept.

  20. Pale Colors BLOW! says:

The Pale Colors BLOW star to Harley.

Apple needs to concentrate on making the anodized colors MORE intense as opposed to less intense. Pale pastel colors went out in 1986 when Miami Vice dumped them and they have NEVER EVER come back.

Wise up Apple! And push some more RAM in the NANO’s and iPhone while you’re at it.
