Interesting… why?
I wish my iPhone had a mute button.
It does…..
I cant believe it!!!!So now I’ll have to open settings,sounds,to put in silence my ipad?!..Shit..
Or hold down the ‘volume down’ button for a couple seconds.
OMG, that’s freaking magical!
I on the other hand wish my iPhone had a lock screen button, great idea.
That’s easy–just jailbreak it and install rotation inhibitor
that voids your warranty kid
Just set the volume to the lowest level as possible which means silence
pssh rotation lock, i have that on my iphone already
Thats good for when i take my iphone to bed
turning the volume down if fine until you want the alarm to wake you
Since there is no Clock app the alarm won’t bother you anyways.
This avi coder is for video recorded by video/photo cameras, it’s not possible for it to play scene avi releases?
The iPad might be able to play a video encoded in 720p but you CAN’T VIEW it in 720p. 720p is 1280×720. The iPad is 1024 x 768. So when you’re playing a 720p encoded video with a 16:9 aspect ratio, you will be viewing it at 1024 x 576 with black borders top and bottom. Hardly the same as true 720p. And if that’s not bad enough, the iPad is only capable of outputting 480p. So with the iPad, you get the privilege of buying a HD movie with absolutely no way to watch it in all its full glory, either on the iPad or on a TV. That has sucker written all over it!
Tony, you are mistaken about the output:
Support for 1024 by 768 pixels with Dock Connector to VGA Adapter;
576p and 480p with Apple Component AV Cable;
576i and 480i with Apple Composite AV Cable
Either way, you still proved my point. The iPad has no way to view 720p videos in their full resolution. It can’t play it on its own screen. It can’t output it to any other screen. Very, very deceptive if you ask me. The specs on Apples iPad Technical Specifications page says “H.264 video up to 720p”. That is just a lie and is very misleading.
It would be nice if it could. Apple really needs to get in the ballgame when it comes to HD.
Perhaps Steve Jobs needs to move on from 2003
Yea! Rotation lock. Now I’m sold. I think it also has lots of Higgs bosons (but about half as many as my MacBook Air).
The screen location lock is useful so the screen doesn’t auto-rotate when you’re laying on your side, reading a book (like in bed).
That’s nifty. And implemented with the typical minimalist elegance that Apple’s famous for!
Get a hold of your self there. Apple is not the first to have a “screen lock”
Yeah, I rather have a rotation lock then a mute button. And its better then using SBSettings. bookmarked
There IS a rotation lock. At first there wasn’t but last minte hardware changes changed that.
I just don’t know if I am completely sold on the iPad. I mean there are still several websites that you will not be able to access because Apply doesn’t allow flash. I really wanted one to work on but unfortunately for me it will be a waste of money.
Casino
Visiting an online casino can make you wonder if you have lost your mind at first but this gambling site is one of the best that I have gambled at and it offers the best casino payouts as well.
The iPad will play avi video files!?
Wow this is truly magical about iPad.I am interested in Apple iPad as I think that Apple is all about qaulity.Its an amazing thing that the iPad can also play Motion JPEG..
I can’t wait to get my hands on an ipad, this is so sweet
The hype will die down njust as it does with any apple product. After one week it will be like “meh its just another apple product”
My volume down button doesnt work on the Ipad. Whats the problem? Anyone??
