After using the Photos we have found some more small tidbits.  Apple has added some advanced wallpaper settings that are not currently found on the iPhone or iPod. It has been known that users will be able to customize their home screen wallpaper, but this has yet to be seen in the previous two SDK betas. In the photos app when you select an image, you can choose to set it as the “Lock Screen” or “Home Screen” wallpaper. There is also an option which allows you to simultaneously set an image as the wallpaper for both aspects of the device. Furthermore it is also possible to have a different images as the lock screen and home screen wallpapers.  More below:

Unless I’ve been sleeping too late, Macs, and presumably other Apple products, have
desktops, not wallpaper, which has always been (sort of a lame) Windows term.

Personally, I don’t do much of my work on walls. My desk, however, is rather busy.

That photo is from a Windows 7 theme! I don’t remember if it was one that I downloaded or if it was included on rc1.

  14. William says:

Not a groundbreaking feature for me. Can’t wait until the iPad becomes jailbroken — then Ill be able to install themes. bookmarked

  15. flaming llama says:

why dont you just get a ipod touch and jailbreak it to set your own pictures as the backgroud? thats what i have and you’ll save $300 and you get multitasking (backgrounder) and themes and lots of other stuff!!
