I love Adobe products, as they’ve helped me make a living for most of my life. But, I really agreed with Steve Jobs alleged comments that they’ve become mired in inaction and laziness. The prices of their apps are so high, they’ve created a thriving counterfeit market. I bought a seemingly legit copy of Photoshop a while back with the most impressive fake box, fake documentation, and fake printed CD you’ve ever seen. This is Adobe’s own fault, partially, that a market exists for this.

CS5 has some impressing to do.

Given the venue where this is to be announced, it to be something that lets you repurpose print materials (InDesign) for the web, probably in Flash format. This worked pretty well for Quark 12 years ago.

Adobe acquired Omniture at the end of 2009. Perhaps this new product will relate to this acquisition?
