MacOS hits 10% of browsing marketshare according to NetApplications
OK, it's 9.93% but we're rounding up to 10% which is a significant milestone. The Mac OS rose from 9.63% in December, a gain of over 3% in Net Applications most recent survey of January Internet usage. If you look at the past year, there is no question the Mac is steadily gaining ground vs. Windows.

iPhone and the iPod touch also did very well posting significant gains. Specifically the iPod touch gained 37% since December on very strong holiday sales.

Add in the iPhone share and no rounding is necessary. OS X = 10.41%
9.93% - 9.63% = 0.3%, not 3%.
The article is correct, they say it's a gain of over 3%.
9,63/9,93 = 1.03 ≈ 3%.
I fail to see both how 9.63/9.93 = 1.03, and how 1.03 ≈ either 3 or 3%.
Second, percentages of percentages are meaningless. If a country's export of oranges grew by 2% in one year and 3% in the next, that's an increase of 50%. Completely meaningless.
well its an overall gain of 3% since its not the absolute values that were ment but the relative ones
9.93/9.63 = 1.03 ==> 3% gain since december
yay
It's nice to see something you have loved for many years finally getting the respect it soooo much deserves.
